美術手帖 ✕ VOLVO ART PROJECT 第7弾 淺井 裕介「moving and transportation」展を開催

淺井は、水や土などの素材を用いて動植物などを描くことで、物語世界を現出させる作風で知られています。これまでも、制作滞在場所で採集した土、マスキングテープ、ほこりなどを用い、壁面や床などの様々なスペースに自由に表現してきました。サイトスペシフィックな作品によって、その土地の持つ風土、民謡、神話などの想像力を誘起し可視化する淺井は、ボルボ スタジオ 青山で、どのようにスウェーデンの豊かな自然や神話との共鳴を提示するのでしょうか。

■アーティストプロフィール

淺井 裕介｜Yusuke Asai

1981年東京生まれ。99年神奈川県立上矢部高等学校美術陶芸コース卒業。主な個展に「八百万の物語」（国際芸術センターあおもり、2012年）、「この場所でつくる」（ARATANIURANO、2014年）、「淺井裕介 ― 絵の種 土の旅」（彫刻の森美術館、2015-2016年）など。また、「生きとし生けるもの」(ヴァンジ彫刻庭園美術館、2016年)、「瀬戸内国際芸術祭」（犬島、2013-2016年）、「yamatane」（Rice Gallery、ヒューストン、 2014年）など国内外のアートプロジェクトにも多数参加。

Art handbook and Volvo ART PROJECT 7th exhibition “moving and transportation” by Yusuke Asai

As the seventh series of “Art handbook × Volvo Art Project” Yusuke Asai sponsored an exhibition titled “moving and transportation” at Volvo Studio Aoyama from November 18 to November 27.

Asai is known for his style of portraying animals and plants using water, soil, and other materials to create a story world. In the past, soil, masking tape and dust collected at the production site have been used to freely express on various spaces such as walls and floors. With his site-specific works, Asai evokes and visualizes the imaginations of the region’s natural features, folk songs, and myths. How does he exhibit resonance with Sweden’s abundant nature and myths at Volvo Studio Aoyama?

■ Artist Profile
Yusuke Asai

Born in Tokyo in 1981. In 99, he graduated from the Kanagawa Prefectural Kamiyabe High School Art and Ceramic Art Course. Major personal exhibitions were “8 million Stories” (International Art Center Aomori, 2012), “Make in this place” (ARATANIURANO, 2014), “Yusuke ASAI – Eno no Tanedo no Tabi” (Chokoku no Mori Bijutsukan, 2015 – 2016), etc. He has also participated in numerous domestic and international art projects including “all living things” (Vange Sculpture Garden Art Museum, 2016), “Setouchi International Art Festival” (Inujima, 2013 – 2016), and “8 million Stories” (International Art Center Aomori, 2012).
