およそ100年前、大正から昭和最初期の頃に、皇室の方々の御成婚やご即位などのお祝いのために、当代選りすぐりの美術工芸家たちが、技術の粋を尽くして献上品を制作しました。
それらの品は、献上後は宮殿などに飾り置かれていたために、一般の方々の目に触れる機会は極めて限られてきました。
本書は、この一大プロジェクトを指揮した東京美術学校を継承する東京藝術大学の創立130周年を記念して、同大学美術館にて開催される展覧会の公式図録です。

This book is an official pictorial record of the exhibition that will be held at the Tokyo University of the Arts Museum in commemoration of the 130 year anniversary of the foundation of the Tokyo University of the Arts, which succeeded the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, which directed this major project.
